Improve you environment lab to proactively prepare for compliances
Environmental analysis is the use of analytical chemistry and other techniques to study the environment. The purpose of this is to monitor and study levels of targeted elements in the atmosphere, rivers and other specific settings. Environmental lab draws on a range of concepts from chemistry and various environmental sciences. Important general concepts from chemistry include determining chemical substances/contaminants, sampling, and analytical techniques.
Sample 1: Good weighing allows reliable lab result
Weighing is a common activity in lab. Reliable analytical results depend on initial sample (and chemical) weighing. Errors or malpractices in lab may ruin processing – in plant scale. Weighing practices and proper equipment ensure the results and prevent costly compensation.
Sample 2: ICP-MS analysis of heavy metal on environmental sample
ICP-MS is a type of mass spectrometry which is capable of detecting metals and several non-metals at concentrations. Arsenic, cadmium, mercury, lead, and inorganic tin are the most toxic heavy metals that account for most heavy metal poisoning cases. Poisoning is usually a result of environmental pollution. Environmental analysis by sophisticate method and equipment may be the proactive measure against this harmful contamination.
Sample 3: Fume hood and air filter for chemical analysis
Fume hoods controls laboratory exposure. It controls exposure to toxic, offensive or flammable vapors, gases and aerosols. Fume hood exhausts hazardous gases, dusts, mists, and vapors from a confined location. Appropriate uses protect workers from inhalation exposure. Proper selecting is important, fume hood and its filter type depends on chemical uses and lab functions.
LAB THEATER is a new activity in Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2016 created by VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific, INNOLAB magazine and ASEAN Network. LAB THEATER could bring you the update information on analysis and testing including relevant regulations from international experts and the live lab conducted by global specialists.
Let’s attend LAB THEATER to learn more on the cutting-edge technology that could sustain the growth your business.
Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2016 will take place on September 21-23, 2016 at BITEC, Bangna, Bangkok. The update activities and pre-registration are available at www.thailandlab.com.
