Dr. Guoqing Guan is a full professor of Hirosaki University, Japan. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Chemical Engineering from Sichuan University, China and Kyushu University, Japan, in 1990, 1993,1995 and 2004.
He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Kyushu University (10/1999-9/2001), a researcher at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan (10/2001-3/2005), a Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at IMM, Germany (4/2005-7/2006), a JSPS research fellow at Fukuoka Women`s University, Japan (8/2006-2/2009), a project assistant professor at The University of Tokyo (3/2009-9/2010) and an associate professor at North Japan Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (NJRISE), Hirosaki University, Japan (10/2010-3/2016).
Now, he is also guest professors of Taiyuan University of Technology and Sichuan University. His research interests are coal and biomass pyrolysis and gasification, biorefinery, heterogeneous catalysts for energy conversion, energy materials, gas and ion separation technologies and water splitting for hydrogen production.
He has published over 160 international journal papers, 11 patents and 5 book chapters. He has received 2 awards from The Society of Chemical Engineers of Japan and several awards in various conferences.
He will present about “Biomass tar upgrading catalysts: activity, stability and selectivity” in 5th BIC 2017, Conference Room 2, BITEC during 6-8 September, Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2017
